What’s that tower going up across from Tempe’s Trader Joe’s?

The multi-use complex, called Revelry, will feature two towers, one that is 17 stories and another that is 15, and 533 apartments. Some levels will have amenities like a bowling alley, resort-style pool, pickleball courts and a golf simulator.
The east tower also includes space for retail, and according to site plans, the builder said it is ideal for a coffee shop, restaurant or boutique fitness, beauty and wellness services.
The lot is across from north Tempe’s Trader Joe’s. It is in an area that has seen explosive growth, in part due to ASU’s Novus Corridor. As of May 2026, about 850 apartment units were open in the corridor, with more on the way in the surrounding area.
History: The lot once housed a storage facility and the popular college bar Devil’s Advocate, which closed in late 2024. Both were demolished.
Scottsdale-based Aspirant Development, a division of Empire Group, bought the two parcels, totaling about 3.66 acres, for $16 million in 2022 and 2023, according to real estate database Vizzda.
When will the work be done? Construction broke ground in fall 2026, and a completion date has not been announced.
