Seafood-centric Filipino supermarket making Arizona debut in this metro Phoenix city Article originally posted on HERE on October 9, 2024 Seafood City, a popular California-based supermarket chain specializing in Filipino ingredients, food and desserts, will open its first Arizona location in Chandler Fashion Center in 2025, according to an Oct. 8 press release. The Seafood City location in Chandler will span over 65,000 square feet and include a large community room available for reservations. In addition to a grocery area, there will be a food court with restaurants like the first-ever location of Crab Market, a seafood restaurant run by Seafood City, as well as stalls serving Filipino and pan-Asian street foods. “As a culinary haven for food lovers, we’re ecstatic to present an unparalleled selection of Filipino and pan-Asian ingredients and fast-food dishes. From traditional spices and sauces to savory delights like adobo and lechon kawali, as well as sweet treats like halo-halo and ensaymada, we’re here to fulfill every craving,” said Elewin Rebaya, Executive Vice President of Seafood City. Seafood City started in National City in 1989 and has grown to 39 stores across the U.S. and Canada.
